Scheduler: add-on for production planning
The Scheduler makes it possible for manufacturing companies to accurately plan their production orders on the basis of industry-relevant criteria and to further optimize their processes. All of the relevant data are visible at a glance: Up-to-the-minute, in-process status reports allow users to react rapidly to changes. Besides the efficient use of resources, optimal sequencing is also critical.
The Scheduler enables users to simulate multiple planning scenarios and phases. These scenarios are assessed on the basis of user-defined criteria such as deadline compliance, storage and set-up costs, etc. This now allows production processes to be faster and more efficient, cuts lead times even further and also reduces set-up times. Products can be shipped sooner, inventory levels reduced, and warehousing costs cut.

Until now, the optimization of set-up times was dominated by in-house operation scheduling systems. Working together with customers, FWI has now developed a new ERP add-on module which supplements Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in the area of production management: The Scheduler.
